Privacy Policy
This policy describes the data handling built into the current website. It does not claim that ordinary hosting infrastructure keeps no logs.
Saved Reference Number or Customer ID
If you select “Save this number on this device,” the identifier type and value are stored in your browser using localStorage. This feature does not intentionally send or save that identifier on the MEPCO Bill server. You can remove it at any time using the saved-connection controls or by clearing site data in your browser.
Official PITC handoff
The bill checker validates the identifier locally and opens the official PITC billing page. The identifier is not placed in a URL on this website and is not intentionally passed to PITC by MEPCO Bill. You complete the official lookup on PITC, whose own privacy and logging practices apply.
Server and security logs
The hosting provider and web server may retain ordinary access, security, and error logs. These can include an IP address, request time, requested page, user agent, referrer, and response status. The saved-number feature does not create custom server logs containing the full identifier.
Cookies and analytics
The current project does not enable third-party analytics because no analytics property ID is configured. If analytics is enabled later, this policy should be reviewed first. Bill identifiers must not be placed in analytics events, page titles, or URLs. An analytics provider may set cookies or use similar storage once enabled.

Links to PITC, MEPCO, NEPRA, payment services, or other official systems take you to websites with their own privacy practices. Check the destination before entering personal information.
