MEPCO New Connection

New electricity connections are handled through the official Electricity New Connection system and MEPCO’s responsible offices. Requirements can vary by connection type and location.

Typical New Connection Process

The exact documents, checks, charges and sequence depend on the application and site. Use the official ENC service for the requirements that apply to you.

This is a simplified overview, not a promise of approval, cost, timing, or an identical sequence for every application.

Information and Documents You May Need

The portal will show the current requirements. Depending on the premises and connection category, these may include identity details, proof of ownership or occupancy, an address, contact information, wiring or test documentation, and supporting approvals. Do not rely on a copied checklist if the official portal requests something different.

Online Application

Complete every required field carefully and use clear document scans. Names and identity information should match the supporting documents. Review the application before submission and keep a copy of the completed form.

Demand Notice

After technical and document checks, the official process may issue a demand notice showing the amount and payment instructions. Pay only through the stated official channel and retain proof. This website does not issue or collect demand-notice payments.

Tracking Your Application

Use the tracking facility on the ENC portal with the reference supplied after submission. Status descriptions reflect the official process; MEPCO Bill cannot alter or accelerate an application.

Important Notes

  • Connection category, load and site conditions affect the process.
  • Additional approvals may be required for some premises.
  • Do not pay an individual who promises unofficial approval.
  • Use the official portal or MEPCO office for corrections.
