Billing and service help

MEPCO Complaint Guide

Record the problem, keep relevant evidence, and submit it through an official channel. MEPCO Bill explains the process but does not collect complaints.

Official complaint submission

Submit the issue to the official service

MEPCO lists 118 and 0800-63726 for customer contact. Online complaints are handled through PITC’s complaint system, not by this website.

Which Complaint Route Should I Use?

MEPCO Bill helps you prepare the issue; only the official service can receive and resolve the complaint.
Information from this website

Prepare the right details

Use the guidance below to describe the problem clearly before contacting the official service.

Wrong Meter Reading

Photograph the meter clearly, note the date, and compare the reading with your bill. Report the discrepancy and retain the complaint number.

High Bill

Compare units, tariff code, arrears and adjustments with earlier bills. Ask for a bill review if the consumption or charges appear inconsistent.

Incorrect Charges

Identify the exact line item and billing month. Provide a bill copy through the official channel only when requested.

Meter Problem

Report a stopped, damaged, sparking or visibly unsafe meter promptly. Do not open or repair electricity equipment yourself.

Power Supply Complaint

Check whether the issue affects only your premises or the wider area, then report the location and outage details through an official channel.

Payment Not Updated

Keep the receipt or transaction reference. Contact the payment provider first, then give MEPCO the payment date and proof if the transaction succeeded.

Connection Issue

Keep your application or tracking number available. Use the official new-connection system for application tracking where applicable.

Before submitting a complaint

  1. Write down the 14-digit Reference Number.
  2. Describe one issue clearly, including the relevant date.
  3. Keep photographs, bills and payment receipts where relevant.
  4. Use the official portal or contact number.
  5. Save the complaint or ticket number for follow-up.

Protect your information

Do not publish your full bill, CNIC, address, phone number or payment receipt on social media. Provide personal information only through an official channel when it is required to investigate your case.

If the issue is urgent

Treat fallen wires, sparking equipment and electrical fire risks as safety emergencies. Keep away from the equipment and use the official emergency or complaint channel immediately.
